People use water in various household works like cooking, drinking, washing etc. Around 50 percent of the population does not have clean water to drink. Drinking impure water causes life threatening diseases like Cholera, Typhoid, Dysentery, Diarrhea, Hepatitis A, Polio etc.
Water is a global issue and India is one of them who is facing challenges regarding drinking water, since water is essential needs and Central and state Government know this very well. Therefore Central Government had announced big programme, “Jal Jeevan Mission — with an aim to ensure water supply to all households by 2024”, executed by Ministry of Jal Shakti. In line with the said programme. State Government of Uttar Pradesh also committed towards successful implementation of the programme.
Hence, keeping a keen eye on this need for clean drinking water, GPA Trust has take decision to work shoulder to shoulder with the government and determined to provide pure, purified water to people.
Pt Gaya Prasad Awasthi Charitable Trust has started to provide Clean Drinking Water in Lucknow with the help of Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (MVVNL) and many housing societies like Raj Chambers Welfare Association, Surabhi Resident Welfare Association etc., who joined hands with us and provided us space, power and water to install Water cooler along with purifier.
